This amazing little boy came into our lives 18 months ago today, a couple minutes ago! I can't even imagine my life without him, it feels like it's been forever but also just yesterday if that makes any sense!? He is such a joy to watch grow and so much fun to play with! I was hoping to post you a picture of Cruz today with a big whipped cream smiley face on his pancakes or a big half birthday cupcake for him to dive into but he's sick this weekend so we have had a mellow, Elmo filled day!! It's so sad to see Cruz sick, he is usually so funny and filled with energy but he is just laying around and all I want to do is hug him and all he wants to do is lay there (and not hug me- haha). He does seem to be feeling a little better today than yesterday so hopefully we are on the upswing!! Mommy and daddy love you kiddo!!! Happy Half Birthday!!

18 months!

Just "hanging" out
Cruz is growing each and every day! He is so proud of himself that he can crawl up on any chair and just sit, so he does. We were just playing around the yard so I decided to take some pictures to share with you all! This past week and weekend were pretty mellow. We spent lots of time playing and enjoying the nice weather. Cruz got his first little bike this week too!! Sorry no pics yet as I have to assist with the bike so will try to get some pics soon. It's a YBike so not as scary as a real bike, not just yet anyway!
Cruz's favorite thing to do ... hang. He will hang from anything if he can reach and get his hands around it. It's pretty funny! Apparently he figured out that he can hang from the windows in his play house, who would've thunk! The best part is if you ask him what he's doing he'll say "anging"!
Our post bath time ritual is to wear our towel and go scare daddy which entails a big "ROAR"!
Night night! Since it's been so nice out we were able to break into our summer pj's. Who would've known that one would be so proud to be wearing Elmo jammies! He was so proud of himself and he kept pointing to every picture of Elmo on his pants saying "Elmo!" like he was suprised to see him!! So cute!!

Easter Weekend!
HAPPY EASTER friends and family!! We had a great Easter weekend. The weather here was great and Easter was pretty hot! We tried to fully enjoy Easter activities as you can see in the pictures below. Some were a major success and some (egg dying) were not so much! The eggs did turn colors so that was good, but they were all thrown around and cracked like humpty dumpty. That is the one time I don't blame him for throwing his food, they did look like colorful balls!!
Saturday we went to the Peoria Sports Complex. It is one of the spring training facilities. They had a candy hunt in the outfield which was broken down by age so Cruz was with all kids around his own age and had fun.
Around the park there were bounce houses and little children's play theater people and carnival games and a petting zoo and best of all, pont rides!! I wasn't sure if Cruz would enjoy riding the pony, I know he loves to look at them but he's never ridden one before. As soon as he was strapped in and the pony starting moving I knew we had nothing to worry about. He had a smile from ear to ear and he didn't want to get off! Needless to say he got to go on two pony rides!!
Some of the animals in the petting zoo were a little much. They were jumping on the fence and trying to get food but Cruz still loved most of it. For those of you who know me well, Yes, I was obviously on the other side of the fence looking in!
Easter morning we had our own egg hunt in the backyard. I wasn't sure how Cruz would like it or if he'd even really get it but I was wrong. He loved it and totally got it! Of course I didn't hide too many eggs and once he found them all he wanted more. Next year I'll stock up so I can hide them all over, inside and out!
After our Easter Egg Hunt and delicious brunch we went golfing. All three of us packed all our clubs and ourselves in a golf cart and played 9 holes. It was a big change from when we tried this last time, only a month or two ago. This time Cruz was so into actually bringing his own clubs and balls onto the course and playing along with us! He's been working on his swing and he will soon be better than I am!!

April Fools
Well time is flying by! Something that has become apparent is that Cruz is growing TOO FAST!! He loves golfing and playing tball and the weather has been perfect for that! He is also still really into books and cars. His new favorite thing to do is hang ... on EVERYTHING!! I don't know when he realized he could hang and support his whole body weight but he did and he does! He just swings back and forth, very funny!
Shoes shoes and shoes! Cruz loves to try on our hats, socks, and most of all shoes! He goes into the closet and brings out all of our shoes to try on! Some of them are a little harder to walk in than others, ;o)!
Another fun game we play is to climb in, on and under! It doesn't matter what it is if we can get through or under, we try!! Cruz will crawl under the table with a ball and roll it out between the chair legs and then yell, "ball, ball, ball" so I roll it back and repeat! The stool is much easier to get into than out! That usually requires a little help from "mama"!
